The Nihonbashi Bridge in Edo (Tokyo) in the Chuo district is a vital crossing for pedestrians and is a common subject in Japanese woodblock prints. This wonderful and rare woodblock print by Hiroshige shows Nihonbashi bustling after a snow and is a perfect snapshot into old Tokyo. Mount Fuji looms in the background.
