Utagawa Hiroshige II (1826-1869) was a pupil of Hiroshige, who took on the name of his master and continued to carry on the tradition of Hiroshige’s artistic sensibilities and skills following his master’s death. While Hiroshige II did not achieve the prominence of his master, some of his designs are widely recognized and collected throughout the world.
