The so-called "Rock-Breaking Cherry Tree" stands today in Iwate Prefecture. The Ishiwara Cherry Tree is known for its resilience and growing through rocks. This particular tree is said to be 400 years old and grows from a large group of granite. A very large, early composition by Namiki with gold leafing and a subtle pink, which contrasts perfectly with the dark tree trunk. A magnificent and eye-catching design!
