Japan's shidare sakura trees are known for their drooping branches and flowers, or they are weeping in appearance. Here, a large and old shidare tree in full bloom is set against deep green foliage. A light layer of mica gives the work incredible depth. A rare large format woodblock print by the very popular Hajime Namiki.
