The Kanchenjunga is the third largest mountain in the world and lies in the border between Nepal and India in the Himalayas. This work by Hiroshi Yoshida catalogs the artist's travel through India and Southeast Asia in 1930-1931. This posthumous edition was printed from the original woodblocks ca. 1950s and is one of three printed variants.

Hiroshi Yoshida (1876-1950) is regarded as one of the most important shin-hanga period artists and often carved and printed his own works. His landscapes of Japan are known throughout the world, as are his prints of other countries such as Europe, the United States, and South Asia.
