Tsuchiya Koitsu, "Spring Rain at Matsushima"

The islands of Matsushima Bay in Miyagi Prefecture is one of Japan's most picturesque places. In this popular design by Koitsu, a tree frames an idyllic view of one of the many islands in the Bay during a light rain shower while a boat enjoys the calm waters. A beautiful design with soft printed colors in the sky and water.
