One of Toshi Yoshida's greatest masterpieces, this fitting homage to his travels in Africa is a highly prized design among collectors showing Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. The woodblock print is carved and printed with such precision and depth of color that it almost looks like a photo. It is said that Toshi used 16 woodblocks and 50 impressions to make one print. The popularity of this masterpiece led Toshi to print two variants in 1983, "Evening" and "Cloudy Day."

Toshi Yoshida (1911-1995) is one of the twentieth century's most important woodblock print artists. Toshi is part of a long and famous line of past and present artists whose influence and popularity persist to this day. His father, Hiroshi Yoshida, was a master painter and woodblock print artists at the height of the shin-hanga print movement.
