Tsuchiya Koitsu, "Benkei Bridge"

Benkei Bridge, which connect Asakasa with Kioicho in Tokyo and was once a remnant of the Imperial Palace, is said to be the site of a battle between the famed Benkei and Yoshitsune. Here, the pre-war setting of the bridge is shown on a Spring evening with cherry blossoms flanking the structure. A marvelously printed work with rich colors throughout.
