Sosaku-Hanga

Azechi Umetaro, "Lumberjack"
Pickup currently unavailable
A one-eyed lumberjack (probably a profile of his head), carries a hand saw and his harvest. The quirky interpretation of the lumberjack is curiously monster-like, likely reflecting Azechi's view of lumberjacks as something other than human with their strength and skills. A wonderful design rare in any edition!
