Believed to be 1,000 years old, the Garyu Cherry Tree in Gifu Prefecture is one of Japan's oldest cherry trees. In this design, the dark trunk of the Garyu Cherry and its blossoms are set against a silver mica printed sky for added contrast. This rare and large woodblock print by Namiki is spectacular!
