Hasui Kawase, "Kiyomizu, Evening Snow"

The composition places the viewer on the balcony at Kiyomizu Temple in Kyoto on a snowy day. Two figures provide spots of color in the distance in an otherwise monochrome palette. This scarce woodblock print comes from a later edition printing from the original woodblocks.
