Shin-Hanga
Hasui Kawase, "Morning in Yubuko, Hizen"
Pickup currently unavailable
The modern city of Kitahata in Saga Prefecture now incorporates the small town of Yubuko, which is known for its fresh squid. In this touching composition by Hasui, a small child and his father look out into the sea in what is no doubt a lesson about something. In the distance a man navigates his boat in the calm waters while the sun casts its light on the clouds far away.
