Situated in Tokyo, the Nezu Shrine is one of Japan’s oldest Shinto shrines. In this beautiful composition by Hasui Kawase, two visitors are greeted on a snowy day as they approach the shrine’s romon (tower gate). The central hall of Nezu Shrine is shown in the background.
