Shin-Hanga
Hasui Kawase, "Starlit Night, Miyajima"

An exceptional work by Hasui showing the famous Torii gate at Miyajima on a clear starlit evening. The detailing of the printing in the shadows and reflection in the water, along with the complex shades of blue, green, blacks, and even purple (Torii gate) throughout the composition in this piece exemplify the extraordinary attention of both Hasui and Watanabe. A truly marvelous, and rare, piece, especially in this condition!
