Mount Hotaka is Japan's third largest peak located. In this later edition printing, Hotakayama sits imposingly behind a lake and trees rendered in a wonderfully layered palette of earth tones.

Hiroshi Yoshida (1876-1950) is regarded as one of the most important shin-hanga period artists and often carved and printed his own works. His landscapes of Japan are known throughout the world, as are his prints of other countries such as Europe, the United States, and South Asia.
