The port town of Tomonoura in Hiroshima Prefecture sits on the shores of Seto Inland Sea and today still retains its old-world charm. The wooden warehouses (kura) is an architectural attraction and the town inspired the setting for Hayao Miyazaki's "Ponyo." A rare, lifetime impression.

Hiroshi Yoshida (1876-1950) is regarded as one of the most important shin-hanga period artists and often carved and printed his own works. His landscapes of Japan are known throughout the world, as are his prints of other countries such as Europe, the United States, and South Asia.
