    One of Japan's three famous bridges, the Seta Bridge spans the Seta River in Shiga Prefecture south of Lake Biwa. Here we see the bridge bustling with pedestrians on a clear day. The reflection of the bridge in the water below is masterfully printed in this lifetime impression.

    Hiroshi Yoshida (1876-1950) is regarded as one of the most important shin-hanga period artists and often carved and printed his own works. His landscapes of Japan are known throughout the world, as are his prints of other countries such as Europe, the United States, and South Asia.
