The Seto Inland Sea separates Honshu, Shikoku, and Kyushu Islands. Here, a group of fisherman prepare their boats for a day out at sea. A scarce work from a second-edition printing.

Ishikawa Toraji (1875-1964) drew inspiration from Western color and composition in many of his woodblock prints while maintaining many traditional ukiyo-e elements in his technique. He is known for his "Ten Types of Female Nudes," which was very controversial when first published in the 1935.
