    Kobayashi Kiyochika, "Rainy Evening, Kudan"

    $0.00

Originally produced in c. 1930s, the night scene prints of Hasegawa/Nishinomiya are atmospheric and unburdened by large amounts of color. Dominated by palettes of blue and black, the simplicity of the designs are striking. In this woodblock print, people are shown braving a rainy evening in front of the lighthouse at Kudan. A wonderful composition with subtle coloring throughout. A rare, early edition

    Size: Chuban
    Publisher: Nishinomiya/Hasegawa (early edition)
    Condition: Excellent color and condition
