Oda Kazuma, "Catching Whitebait at Namaumi, Izumo"
Pickup currently unavailable
This masterpiece by Oda Kazuma is a standout work with its deeply expressive lines, bold use of colors, and a striking and romantic composition showing a fisherman in the waters off Izumo in Shimane Prefecture collecting bait. The lights from the lanterns and from the houses in the distance are reflected beautifully in the water and snakes through the composition to balance the deep rich blue. This stunning and rare woodblock print is one of Kazuma's most recognized works.
