Originally produced in c. 1930s, the night scene prints of Hasegawa/Nishinomiya are atmospheric and unburdened by large amounts of color. Dominated by palettes of blue and black, the simplicity of the designs are striking. Here, a mother and her child enjoy an evening at Ueno park. The specks of light draws the viewer into the scene.
