Sawada Tetsuro (1933 -1998) mastered the art of bokashi (one or more colors printed in shading from light to dark) using silkscreen, or serigraph, as the medium. Sawada is highly regarded for his compositions combining complex layering, brilliant colors, and earth tones to form ethereal landscapes.
