An extraordinary artist internationally recognized for her unique talent, Toko Shinoda was a painter and calligrapher whose known for her abstract sumi paintings and prints. In this piece, the stalk and leaves of a bamboo are enhanced by rich streaks of hand-applied green and black inks.
