Kofukuji Temple in Nara is one of Japan's most famous Buddhist sites. Here the temple structures serve as a backdrop for neatly laid out garden and pond on the grounds. A visitor walks the perimeter of the pond during a light rain. An early edition impression published by Hamamatsudo, a descendant of Doi Sadaichi, with exquisite colors throughout.
