The beauty of Mount Fuji at Lake Motosu (west of Fuji) is captured masterfully as the sun casts a red glow at sunset. A rare early-edition and fine representation of Tsuchiya Koitsu’s talent as a woodblock print artist. The simplicity of the design is evocative of Hokusai, while the skill of the printing demonstrates the meticulous craftsmanship of shin-hanga woodblock prints.
