In this collaborative work between Hiroshige and Toyokuni III, Prince Genji and a geisha stand on a balcony at an inn at Enoshima, an island off the coast in Kanagawa Prefecture, overlooking the sea and an unencumbered view of Mount Fuji. A marvelous and rare work!

Utagawa Kunisada (Toyokuni III) (1786-1865) and Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1858) are two of the Edo period's most important and prolific artists of ukiyo-e. In their collaborations, Hiroshige would design the landscapes, while Toyokuni III would draft the figures.
