Hajime Namiki, "Igei Gajimaru"

The Igei Gajimaru is a 150 year-old banyan tree in Okinawa whose roots are so large they extend to look like part of the tree's trunk. In this grand work by Namiki, the ancient tree is set against a background printed in silver and gold mica.
